A few days ago, I shared a list of my goals for the upcoming year and beyond. Some of them sound quite Pollyanna, and others seem like they will be a stretch.
One of my goals to stretch myself to be more creative was making more art quilts.
I've set a goal of 52 quilts over the next year.
I'm looking forward to getting back to creating multimedia art quilts.
I used to work on them quite often, but I let other things take precedence over my time and haven't made as many lately. I was battling a bit of a period of depression like I'd never experienced, but the new year is the perfect opportunity to shake that off and begin again.
To help me get more motivated to make my quilts, I'm actually teaching two or three people how to make multimedia quilts, and I've also entered an art show that will be held in February.
Nothing like having accountability to keep me on my toes!!
On Monday, January 2nd, I am going to have a link up and share with you some tips and tricks for thread sketching and multimedia art quilting. My hope is to continue with Multimedia Mondays throughout 2017.
I'll hope you join me for some fun!!
