Autumn Jubilee Quilt Along

Since we're sorta slightly talking about scrappy quilting this month (clearly my best laid plans can get sidelined easily), I wanted to share a quilt along that is happening this month.  Carole of From My Carolina Home is sharing a tutorial for her Autumn Jubilee quilt, which she describes as part mystery quilt-part quilt along.  If you hustle over there before her drawing on November 1st, she also has a wonderful giveaway running for Aurifil thread.  I know of no quilter who says she (or he) has enough thread, so be sure to check it out!

I wanted to share her quilt along because I think it would be a perfect scrappy quilt project.  Carole notes that you'll need scraps in autumn colors (2.5" and 3" squares) and background fabric or light background scraps.  I think I'll have to pull out some scraps and see what I've got to work with.

The quilt along kicked off on October 7th, so the first tutorial is available.  It's a leaf block in scrappy autumn colors.  You can also join her Flickr group to see what everyone is making.

I'll have to come back later and add some pictures of my scrappy leaf blocks!

Are you following along with the Autumn Jubilee quilt along (or any other quilt along)?  I'd love to hear about what you're working on!
