Slow Stitching My Holiday Gifts

One of my favorite things about the weekend is that I don't have too many responsibilities.

Yesterday, a friend referred to me as the "Hermit Queen."  I'd say that's probably pretty accurate.

When I can cozy up with a quilt, a hoop, and a day filled with watching football, it's likely I'm very content.

I'm working on some flimsies that need to get finished before Christmas.

This quilt is a twin-sized bed quilt that I'd like to get finished.  It is a gift for a family member in Vermont.  I probably should put it on my frame and machine quilt it, but I think I'm a glutton for punishment because as soon as it was pin-basted, I really was itching to put it in the hoop and hand quilt it.

Now we have to wait and see if that was the wrong choice.  So I'd better get off the computer and back to stitching.

Are you working on your holiday gifts at the last minute, like me?  Or did you plan ahead and schedule your projects to finish sometime before the holidays were in sight?
