What I'm Working On

I thought I'd share a few quick pictures of my recent finishes, as well as a couple of fun images from October.

I'm still slowly stitching away on a red, white, and blue queen-sized quilt.  Looking at this photo, you might get the impression that I'm a big fan of red, white, and blue.  You'd probably be correct.  This is a bit of selfish sewing, but I always have to get past this little beast (Georgia, a three-year old bulldog with bad social skills) to get my quilting done:

It isn't often that I'm out and about, but if I am, I'm probably enjoying Port Gamble and my favorite quilt shop, Quilted Strait.  I was pleasantly surprised to see dahlias and turning leaves all in one trip.  My friend snapped this photo when we had a little break from the wind and rain.

I'm in desperate need of upgrading my forearm crutch that I've hauled around for the last 8 years or so.  I've got my eye on lightweight SideStix when I figure out how to squirrel away enough in my budget.  I keep blowing it all on fabric and home repairs.

So by far this isn't a fantastic picture, but certainly fun because I don't remember the last time I saw dahlias so late in October.  This is just one of those places where I go to remember I love my simple life and the beauty of God's earth.

So this is my latest finish.  It's a throwback 90's style Bugs and Taz multimedia, thread sketched mini quilt for a craft swap on Instagram:

And last but not least, on Monday, I finished up a Market Apron for a holiday apron swap on Instagram:

There are still plenty of unfinished objects on my quilty to-do list, but I'm happy to check a couple of them off.

What have you finished lately?  I'd love to hear about it.
